摘要：Objective: to develop a survey, to perform a survey and to generalize the data on the relation of the population to the quality of water-pipe drinking water, expediency of its afterpurification with the help of domestic filters or collective water purifying systems. Methods: sociological (population survey), statistical. We performed a survey of the population by the questionnaire, developed by us, in different regions of Ukraine. The survey contained 18 questions on 2 main directions: relation of the population to the quality of water-pipe drinking water and use of water purifiers for its afterpurification. In all we processed about 400 forms. Results. We designated that practically 80% of the questioned population were not satisfied with a quality of water-pipe drinking water. Nearly every the third of the respondents considered a water-pipe drinking water as unqualitative (34.0%), they connected this with its unsatisfied organoleptic and sanitary-hygienic indices. One-third of the respondents (34.5%) consider that afterpurification of drinking water with the help of domestic and collective water purifying systems can improve its quality; practically a half of the questioned (48.8%) use the domestic filters for afterpurification of water-pipe drinking water. Nearly 80% of the questioned are satisfied with the quality of drinking water afterpurified on the filters for drinking water but two-third f the respondents are not satisfied with a low capacity of water purifiers (33.7%) and a necessity of often replacement of the cartridges (30.5%). Survey demonstrated that population considered that it was possible to improve a quality of water-pipe drinking water at the use of domestic filters or collective units. Afterpurification of water-pipe drinking water in the places of its use, taking into account the indices, which need a correction is considered to be the most optimum decision. Development of the hygienic recommendations for selection and exploitation of water purifier of domestic and collective purposes is necessary for wider introduction of water afterpurification.
