摘要:The aim was to study the content of radon in indoor air of preschool establishments in Zaporozhye region and to calculate radiation doses of the children. Measurements were carried out during the heating season by radonometric passive tracking device "Track 2010Z" with month exposured. All together there were 250 measurements in urban and rural preschool establishments. It is found that the geometric mean of equivalent equilibrium volume activity of radon-222 is 167 Bq∙m-3 that is more than 3 times higher than the hygienical standart, set by NRSU-97 for preschool establishments. Effective radiation doses of the children were calculated. Weighted average effective dose is 5.8 mSv per year with the level of variability 3,3-11,5 mSv per year. Found, that on the first floor of preschool establishments the radiation dose is higher than on the second floor. Doses, high enough to irradiate children in preschool establishments are basis for the antiradon activities.
