  • 摘要:Yield of methanol fuel cell (DMFC) for portable and personal application is one of the best choices of among various fuel cells. The design of optimum anode and cathode current in specific capacity is essential. Optimization of the operating condition to maintain maximum electrical power in DMFC is also important objective. In this study methanol fuel cell was designed and fabricated. A nafion 117 platinum anodic and cathodic catalysts with capacity 4 mg/cm2 with effective surface in dimension 10*10 cm2 were used. In addition in single cell testing system with supplied anodic and cathodic and controlling system all assembled in a lab-scale unit. The obtained results for voltage and current from the operating unit showed that the fabricated cell was successfully operated. The best cell output was obtained with 1 molar methanol concentration and 70 C. In this condition, The current density and voltage were 202 mA/cm2 and 0.413 V, respectively. From the obtained results, fabrication stack of cells for power output of 1.25 KW was final project objective.
