摘要:Introduction: Due to the specific characteristics and variability of motor actions that occur during a football match, it becomes difficult to control training sessions, as well as create training and methodologies relevant to evaluation mode. Several authors claim these difficulties and also demonstrate that in the Brazilian yearly calendar time for preparation (preseason) is short, hindering the development of physical skills, techniques, tactics so that athletes can withstand the long period of competition in excellent levels of performance and without injury. Objective: To demonstrate the content and type of workout run by a professional football team during a season. Materials and methods: We used the average maximum heart frequency (HR) and adopted the classification of exercises according to Godik et al., (1996) for a sample made up of twenty-eight professional athletes. Results: The training load had a mean duration of 1994 ± 586 minutes and an average 79.40 ± 2.62 intensity HR. There was variation in the targeted time for the different types of training offered by Godik (1996). Conclusion: The intensity of high throughout season kept demonstrating the importance given to specific training. Key Words: Football, Periodization, Workload training.
