摘要:This descriptive and comparative study was conducted in order to identify and compare the style of decision making futsal and football coaches in the categories sub-11, sub-13 and sub-15. The study included six (6) coaches. 3 (three) Futsal coaches and each coach is in a different category, three (3) Football equally distributed into two clubs in the city of Chapecó (SC). The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire about decision making style of coach (QTDT), developed and validated by Guide (2009). All data were collected by the researcher, in the months of October and November 2012.The results indicate that, globally, futsal coaches are more competent in decision making as compared to football coaches. Moreover, futsal coaches outnumber football coaches in all dimensions than the questionnaire assesses. With regard to the dimensions of decision making, the futsal coaches are more competent in relation to metacognition about the context and prior knowledge about the context. Whereas football coaches were more skilled in dimensions conceptual models of context and strategies to manage uncertainty of context. It’s concluded that, when comparing the styles of decision making of futsal and football coaches in the categories sub-11, sub-13 and sub-15 in Chapecó (SC), the coaches of the modality of futsal were more efficient in decision making.
