摘要：The above statistics simply leave us dumbfounded, shocked and reveal the inner truths about the state of affairs regarding the attention paid to female reproductive health. Strident discrimination is pervasive for a woman in all walks of life. Gender stereotypes that are prevalent since birth extend into childhood, adulthood, during the pre and post martial phase of a woman's life. Strong favoritism for male children is reflected in the form of biased and rigid attitudes with regard to a girl's education, training, her overall grooming and socialization.
