  • 摘要:This study aimed to estimate the nutritional knowledge of users and non-users of dietary supplements that practice gym exercises in the city of Chapecó - SC. The study population was attended by 92 practitioners from the gym, the users of dietary supplements in individuals were (21.7%, n = 20) and nonusers were (78.2%, n = 72). There were answered two questionnaires, which allowed us to evaluate the profile of the population and their nutrition education. In the population, we could observe that the average age is 30.78 + - 10.570, and the predominant socioeconomic status is the class B, in the schooling, the complete secondary education or incomplete higher education prevailed. In the users public, the men stood out in relation to women because it has nutritional knowledge classified as moderate and high. In the non-users public, the female stood out for present a greater number of individuals with moderate and high nutritional knowledge. When we compared the level of nutritional knowledge among the group of users and non-users of dietary supplements the mean scores found were 8.00 + - 0.42 and 7.28 + - 0.22, respectively, so there was no statistical difference (p = 0.13) between the groups. However, both for users and non-users of dietary supplements, the research has shown that they have interest in nutrition, considering that the vast majority of respondents have moderate nutritional knowledge, while a small percentage has high nutritional knowledge.
