摘要：Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the treatment of linseed oil in different doses and days on hyperglycemia and dislipidemia with triton WR 1339 induced in rats. Methods: The animals were divided into ten groups: the control group and the group treated for varying periods of 7, 14 or 21 days using doses of 50mg/kg, 100mg/kg, 500mg/kg e 750mg/kg. Results: The results showed that plasma levels of glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides were significantly increased 18 hours after the injection of triton WR 1339. The administration of linseed oil orally at doses of 50mg/kg and 100mg/kg, significantly decreased concentrations of cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose in rats with acute dyslipidemia. Conclusion: Our data indicates that flaxseed oil has an antilipemics effect only in low doses. Key words: Linseed oil, Metabolism, Rats.
