It’s a descriptive, transversal study, with 60 individuals, being the sample divided into two female groups: active group (GA) and sedentary group (GS), with 30 individuals each, 18 to 30-years old. The questionnaire of Food and Nutrition Vigilance System’s food frequency was used, as well as the questionnaire regarding the level of physical activity by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), reduced format. Descriptive statistics was used (frequency, average and standard deviation). Results revealed that 78% of GS referred to consume daily the least healthy food, such as fritter, built-ins, cookies, sweets and gasified drinks, while 52% out of GA do not consume this kind of food. As for healthy food consumption such as vegetables, dry fruit and raw salads, it was observed that only 30% of GS consume these foods only twice a week, while 70% of GA consumes them daily. By these results it can be concluded that regular practice of physical activity leads to a bigger concern with food quality to be consumed, however it may not lead to worries on amount of food consumption.
