摘要：Based on the theory of the indissoluble link, this study aims to validate the scale Father and Mother as a Couple scale (FMC), addressed to marital relations between parents as perceived by their sons and daughters, referring to various components of this construct. The PMC, consisting of eleven pairs of items, and distinguishing father and mother in the same variable, is part of a broader instrument, the Questionnaire on Parents as a Couple (QPC), comprising 60 items overall. The non-probability sample consists of 1,612 youth, 678 men and 934 women, between 18 and 29 years. The analyses presented empirical evidence favoring the validation of this scale as consisting of a single dimension which has, however, been considered as comprising the fi rst principal component interpreted as explicit, and the second one as implicit, both in the father and mother subscales with Cronbach’s alphas, respectively, .85 and .86.
