摘要:Tourism sector is a potential sector to increase local revenue and improve the welfare of local community. The development of tourism has a multiplier effect on consumption and investment demands, which will lead to the production of goods and services. Specifically, tourism sector will have an impact on the socio-economic condition of the local community through the changes in foreign exchange earnings, community income, employment opportunities, prices, community distribution, ownership, development and government revenue. To that end, Indonesia as a nation with tourism potential has to be able to utilize this sector by attracting the number of domestic and foreign tourists to visit. This is because the advancement of tourism in a region highly depends on the number of incoming tourists. This study aims to analyze the tourism competitiveness indices of the provinces in Indonesia by using the Competitiveness Monitor (CM) method.
