摘要:Although Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a basic skill for operation adapted from an individual in its environment, the training of engineers tend to focus towards technical and analytical side, so the aim of this research was to determine the IE profile according to the perceived emotional skills of students of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the Benemerita Autonomous University of Puebla. The study involved 249 students, whom the TMMS-24 was applied. The results indicated that 64.7% of the sample needs to improve at least one skill that makes emotional intelligence, 49% required to improve their emotional attention, 31.7% should improve their emotional clarity, and 15.3% must improve their emotional reparation; it is expected that this work remains as a reference for future research.
