摘要:Gini coefficients for education were calculated for the ten municipalities of the State of Michoacan with more indigenous-speaking population, using census data for the year 2010. The hypothesis of this paper suggests that, for these municipalities, educational inequality is higher between speakers of indigenous languages than among those, who do not hold that status. The results suggest that the educational inequality was considerably higher among the indigenous-speaking population compared to the population that does not speak indigenous languages , even living in the same municipality. This situation occurred in nine of the ten municipalities studied.
