摘要:The theoretical role and the practical use of two terms appear to be in dispute within the Health literacy: Education and Training, and here we reflect on the discussion about the Health Education discipline. As a form of knowledge creation, it is a recent social activity in Mexico that turned into top-level educational opportunities, generating its own dimension in Public Health, Education and Public Health. We discussed the eventual consensus on the characteristics and nature of the training of professional health education. This tripartite field motivates the consideration of the historical development that the Health literacy has had, interrelating at the same time the contributions of the three areas and establishing the field of its knowledge.
