摘要：In teaching a foreign language, one should notice that different cultures have their own concepts of nonverbal communication forms, which need to be paid attention to along with the other parts of language. Therefore, the notion of nonverbal communication can be considered not only in linguistics, but also in teaching. In this article, different aspects of nonverbal communication were discussed, and its different types were classified. The author has embarked on elaborating the main function of paralinguistic forms in some cultures. Moreover, the effects of nonverbal communication in teaching were demonstrated.
