摘要：In 2007, an interdisciplinary research project focusing on the medieval relics and reliquaries of Turku Cathedral was launched at the Department of Archaeology of the University of Turku. Theongoingproject seeks to combine a range of scientific analyses with the approach of the humanities, i.e. with such disciplines as archaeology, art history, history, cultural anthropology and theology. This wide range of approaches is applied to analyse the collection in Turku as part of the period in which the cult of relics flourished and eventually waned in the Nordic countries.
