摘要：Psychosocial support is a critical component in the promotion ofphysical and psychological health for individuals managing thechallenges of living with HIV/AIDS within the Indian context.The role of community workers in assisting individuals living withHIV/AIDs in India is of significance given the growing populationaffected by the epidemic. This paper reports on the findings of 11 indepth qualitative interviews exploring perceptions of communityworkers engaged in a local non-government organisation (NGO)established to assist children and families living with HIV/AIDs.Discussion emphasises the significance of the role of communityworkers as a vital ingredient in enhancing the lives of HIV/AIDsaffected individuals within the Indian context.
