  • 摘要:A case of a gunshot wound with an extraordinary clinical picture will be presented in this study and the type of radiological approach necessary for such injuries will be discussed. A 55 year-old male individual died from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the bullets was noted to have entered the body anterior to the left ear, and travelled downward and slightly to the left, traversing the soft tissues of the face and the neck, producing fractures in the 6th and 7th vertebras. It was then noted to have entered the spinal canal at the level of the 7th cervical vertebra. The bullet was retrieved from level of L5 vertebra. Whole body radiological scan is important for gunshot injuries. In order to prevent workforce loss as well as to protect the integrity of the corpse that is being evaluated, postmortem radiological methods, which are increasingly being used throughout the world, should also be introduced in Turkey
