    The problem of blood flow through a bell shaped stenosis in arteries has been investigated in the present work. To account for the non- Newtonian behavior, blood has been represented by a Power-law fluid. The expression for the flow characteristics, namely, the impedance, the wall shear stress, the shear stress at the stenosis throat has been derived. We present some results concerning the dependence of these quantities on the geometrical parameters.
