摘要：Surveys for dictyostelid cellular slime moulds (dictyostelids) carried out in various areas of Mexico over the past half century have yielded considerable data on the distribution of these organisms in one region of the Neotropics. The species recovered in these surveys include several forms later described as new to science. The present paper provides a comprehensive overview of what is known about the taxonomy, ecology and distribution of the dictyostelids of Mexico.
