摘要：In order to reconsider how home economics clothing coordination studies should be done, we researched and analyzed the relationship between the clothing interest and consciousness of self-expression of junior high and high school students. We surveyed 269 eighth-grade students and 237 tenth-grade students in Hiroshima. As a result, for females, the degree of interest in clothing coordination studies of junior high school students was higher than that of high school students. On the other hand, for males, the degree of interest in clothing coordination utilizing one's individuality was higher for high school students than it was for junior high school students. After factor analysis of clothing interest, it was revealed that interest in clothing was differentiated in the transition period from junior high school to high school for both male and female students. It was also suggested that they became able to distinguish a variety of clothing functions. We also examined the relationships between clothing interest and consciousness of self-expression of junior high and high school students.
