摘要：The global hike in the prices of gold and oil made an impact in the economy of the countries around theglobe. The impact has varied in the developing and developed countries. The research is a preliminary investigationinto the subject matter. It has plunged into the relation of these two commodities prices with the GDP of an emergingeconomy of Pakistan. The findings give a compelling insight into the subject matter. The study used the stock marketdata with the average Gold and Oil prices from the period of 1997 to 2014. The data analysis results show that gold andoil prices have a significant impact on GDP.
