摘要:Mat Trinca is a former postgraduate student at the University of Western Australia and a founding member of Limina: A Journal of Historical and Cultural Studies. He is now the senior curator in charge of collections and gallery development at the National Museum of Australia2 in Canberra.Mat began his Doctorate in history in 1994. He was writing on the experiences of Australians travelling to Britain in the aftermath of the Second World War. He was examining the character of tourist experiences in London and how Australian travellers read the cityscape of London; the way they experienced and understood the imperial/post imperial capital and how they reacted to it. However, six months from the end of his scholarship, Mat applied for a position as assistant curator at the Western Australian Museum.3 It was this opportunity that took him away from UWA and into the museum sector.
