摘要：The main objective of this paper is the development of an approach for demand handling of the pharmaceuticals in a hospital based on the business activity monitoring (BAM) paradigm.After identifying the main characteristics and challenges of the pharmaceuticals’ demand the authors argue that the BAM combined with the modeling of demand management process and the identification of the corresponding events will allow a better analysis of the historical data and provide a better sense of demand.The deployment of the proposed approach will give decision makers the ability to respond accurately to the various internal and external events and overall to meet the needs of the health care organizational entity in terms of the pharmaceuticals planning.
