摘要：In this paper the basic characteristics of the VPN networks are presented. The VPN networks on the second and the third level of the OSI reference model are analyzed. The realization of the IP VPN and VPN networks within MPLS environment is presented as well. Security in MPLS networks is one of the most important characteristics, especially in military communication systems, which is shown in the second part of this paper.
