  • 摘要:IPv4/IPv6 transition rolls out several issues to the internet world. IETF introduces some transition mechanisms involving IP transition, dual IP stack and tunneling transition techniques. A explained study is performed on the IPv6 addressing architecture. Out of the three techniques Tunneling proves to be most efficientin the study which has been performed. The 6rd technique that is utilized for IPv4/IPv6 transition technique allows an IPv6 mobile node to roaminto IPv4 based network and achieved serviced besides roaming in IPv6 based network. This paper targets at a comparative study on the three transition mechanisms i.e. Software mesh which survive Dual Stack, NAT444 which supports translation and IPv6 RapidDevelopment (6rd) technique in tunneling mechanism
