摘要:The major problem of indoor localization is presence of Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) channels. In order to perform NLOS identification, in this paper, we propose a novel NLOS identification technique based on threshold selection using the ratio of kurtosis and maximum slope of energy block of the received signal using energy detector. In particular, IEEE 802.15.3c 60 GHz channel models are used as examples and above statistics is found to be explained in detail. The simplicity of the proposed approach lies in use of parameters of energy-based time of arrival (TOA) estimation algorithm. The CM1 (LOS) and CM2 (NLOS) of IEEE 802.15.3c channel models are used. Numerical simulated results show that the correct identification of channel models with the proposed approach is better than with the multipath channel statistics based approach.
