摘要：The purpose of the study was to investigate the "comparative analysis of selected psychological variables among inter university level of Basketball, Cricket and Volley ball players". Forty five subjects each in basketball cricket and volley ball from affiliated colleges of physical education of Tamil Nadu Sports University Chennai were selected as subjects at random. Their age ranged between 18-25 years. Rainer Martens , Robin S. Vealey , Damon Burton (1983) ILLIUOSIS SELF-EVALUTION QUESTIONNAIRE, was used to measure cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety, and self- confidence This questionnaire consists of 27 questions of 3 components, namely cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety and self- confidence, was used for collection of data. The data was statistically analysied by using One-way analysis of variance to find out the difference between psychological variables It was concluded that there was significant difference in cognitive anxiety among inter-university level, basketball, cricket and volleyball players. It was concluded that basketball players has more cognitive anxiety than volleyball and cricket players. It was concluded that there was significant difference in somatic anxiety among inter- university level, basketball, cricket and volleyball players. It was concluded that basketball players have more somatic anxiety than volleyball and cricket players. It was concluded that there was significant difference in self confidence among inter- university level, basketball, cricket and volleyball players.. It was concluded that cricket players have more self confidence than volleyball and basketball players.
