  • 摘要:Single crystals of potassium para-nitrophenolate were successfully grown by the slow evaporation methodwith dimension of 25x10x7 mm3. Proton NMR spectrum was recorded to elucidate the molecular structure. Fouriertransform infrared (FTIR) FT-Raman spectral studies have been performed to identify the functional groups. Structuralanalyses were carried out by powder x-ray diffraction pattern. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differentialthermal analysis (DTA) were used to study its thermal properties. Powder test with Nd: YAG laser radiation showssecond harmonic generation. The optical transmittance window and the lower cut off wavelength of the grown crystalhave been identified by UV–vis–NIR spectrum. The luminescence property has been studied by photoluminescencespectrum. The Micro hardness test was carried out and the load dependent hardness was measured. The observedoptical properties have confirmed that the grown crystals are useful for linear and nonlinear optical applications
