摘要：Over the last three decades, major changes have taken place in the Englishlanguage teaching methods, especially in second and foreign language learningscenario. This paper aims at analyzing the importance of usage of newspaper andmagazines in the classroom and finding the ways on how to use print media. Theclassroom becomes a multidimensional environment. It is difficult for the teachers tomanage this multidimensional environment. It is essential for them to make thestudents able to use the news paper and at the same time deal with other activitiessuch as researching for information from books and magazines. The following issuesare open for discussion: the importance of media in general and education inparticular; media are persuasive and pervasive, example newspapers and magazines.The possibilities of interactive or 'student-centered' approaches to teach writing skillsin English through newspaper and I review basic procedures common in EnglishLanguage Teaching to design tasks for literary study will be discussed. Such tasks Isuggest, newspapers can definitely supplement the traditional lectures.
