  • 摘要:Capability and complexity of applied programs are growing rapidly. These factors cause to increase volume and complexity of connection patterns in-chip. An appropriate connection infrastructure in-chip, called Network on Chip­(NOC), is required to face efficiently this complexity. For measuring the performance of this type of network, criteria such as message delay, throughput, power, energy consumption, and efficiency are used. Mapping in NOC is of significant importance because by using a good mapping could reduce the energy consumption and latency. In this paper, the Tabu search mapping (TSMAP) algorithm is introduced. To evaluate the proposed scheme three criteria are used: ( i ) communication cost, ( ii ) energy consumption and ( iii ) overall delay for mapping MPEG4 and VOPD tasks graphs. The results of simulations indicate that the performance is improved 5% with respect to the Cast Net algorithm and 3% with respect to the Nmap algorithm. Simulation of communication cost is computed using MATLAB and two other criteria are calculated
