摘要：Subject of all articles published in “Archives of Budo”from the beginning of the existence of the journal(from 2005) concerns two closely interpenetratingissues of the widely understood personal safety andaction worth the man. Adopting classifi cation criteriaof contemporary science one can locate thesubject on borderland of biomedical, social and thehumanistic sciences. The more detailed classifi cationis authorizing to point on sports medicine andphysical education (accepting, that in scientifi c subdisciplinephysical education includes sports science,but not inversely). Therefore, there is also an offi cialidentifi cation (character of an articles and scientifi cdisciplines) of scope of an „Archives of Budo”. Inthe part of that identifi cation under the „journal’sdescription” we are exposing neither issues of thepersonal safety, nor issues of action worth the man.However, we are informing potential authors andreaders that the scope of an “Archives of Budo” isto promote research in martial arts, combat sports,defence arts, and related areas.
