标题:Comparing the academic achievement of school students in boarding high schools with non-boarding high schools and its analysis in the viewpoint of principals and teachers in high schools
摘要:The present research has been done with the aim of comparing the academic achievement of school students in boarding high schools with non-boarding high schools and its analysis in the viewpoint of principals and teachers in high schools. The descriptive research method was comparative-casual kind. The statistical population includes all teachers and principals of high schools in Abrisham in 2013-2014 academic years and the statistical sample were 170 people of teachers and principals of high school in the city. They were chosen randomly from the listed population. The tools of collecting data was a researcher made questionnaire and the scores of three basic course and the term average of school students in the three majors of human science, mathematics and experimental sciences in boarding and non-boarding high schools was used in order to evaluate the academic development of school students. The results show that the education and learning factors and facilities, disciplinary and regulatory factors, environmental factors and extracurricular activities in boarding high schools were more effective in the academic achievement of high school students than the non-boarding high schools in the view point of teachers, school assistants and principals of boarding high schools and these factors were not effective at the same level in the school students’ academic achievement of each high school (boarding and non-boarding). In the boarding high schools, the most effect was related to the extracurricular activities and in non-boarding high schools, the most effect was related to the environmental factors and the teachers, school assistants and principals of each one of high schools (boarding and non-boarding high schools) has known the minimum effect for education and learning facilities and factors.
