摘要：Automatic aerial image interpretation is one ofthe new rising high-tech application fields, and it’sproverbially applied in the military domain. This surveypaper compares a different approach for target detection andclassification of objects by texture clustering and structurefeatures extraction. By clustering the texture feature effectiveimage segmentation is achieved and thus obtain the structurefeatures of target objects. Typical man-made objectsincluding airplanes, tank, ships, mines and vehicles incomplex natural background can be detected
