  • 摘要:Health and quality of life of a child is influenced bymany factors. Environment in which the child resides, and everyday items used to perform daily activities, from hygiene to play, are extremely important because they can encourage or restrict development and independence. Registering and integrating various sensory stimuli from the environment, development of coordination, dexterity, strength and speed, as well as development of concentration, thinking, learning, and social skills are happening in interaction with stimulating environment. Information gained through the static and dynamic anthropometric measurements of children's bodies give us a framework for applied ergonomics of environment and objects typical of childhood. Kindergarten and playground are areas outside child's home in which preschool child spends the most time. How should this environment look to suit the child, in what way should ensure healthy development, to grow with the child and ensure the safety of the child's everyday activities, it's presented in this paper. Given that the recommendations/articles on the ergonomic and other design of kindergartens and children's playgrounds in Croatia is almost non-existent, this work represents a concrete interdisciplinary contribution to professions dealing with the design, use and evaluation of the safety area intended for children. In terms of ensuring universal accessibility and encouragement of inclusion, special emphasis of this report is on information related to the accessibility of facilities for children who are faced with a variety of developmental and health challenges, such as children who have difficulties with receiving and processing sensory information, or to children who have mobility difficulties or using mobility aids.
