  • 摘要:The new high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite systems offer new possibilities for urban remote sensing. COSMO- SkyMed and TerraSAR-X operate in X-band and both can deliver data with a spatial resolution of up to one meter. High-resolution SAR data is particularly useful for post-disaster damage assessment and monitoring, because SAR systems operate (almost) weather independent. Interferometric SAR (InSAR) can be used to generate precise 3D models of urban areas, and using Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PS-InSAR) urban subsidence can be measured precisely
