摘要:Digital Terrain Models (DTM) are frequently used to make important decisions. In order to judge these decisions DTM quality must be known. The quality of a DTM consists of several components like precision, accuracy, and reliability. This article presents several methods to assess the quality of a DTM, commencing with the data it is based on and proceeding with quality measures for the model itself. These methods are compared to each other and their application is discussed. The outlined techniques are designed for DTM that describe the terrain height as a bivariate function (2.5-dimensional DTM). However, some of them may be extended for application to three-dimensional DTM
