摘要:This paper describes the way spatial multiple criteria decision analysis "SMCA" has been applied to develop and evaluate of an integrated plan for public transport system and land use development in the Klang Valley, in Malaysia. The SMCA here has been used as a framework for design, and evaluation of alternative rail-network, which in combination with the other transportation systems, will meet the future socio-economic, and environmental, requirements of people in the Klang Valley region. The paper briefly introduces the applied methodology, the MCDA process, and the final results. It will also briefly presents the way Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Multicriteria Evaluation and complex transportation modelling is used to support design, impact assessment and the evaluation of alternative rail-network. Finally it will look at the problems, shortcomings and the lessons that were learned in the process of implementation
