摘要:We present a system for the interactive navigation through high-resolution cylindrical panoramas. The system is based on MPEG-4 and describes the virtual world by the scene description language BIFS. This allows the easy integration of dynamic video objects, 3-D computer models, interactive scene elements, or spatial audio in order to create realistic environments. For the acquisition of panoramic views from real scenes, many preprocessing steps are necessary. Methods for the removal of objects, image enhancements, and the adaptation of the dynamic range of the images are presented in this paper. Moreover, a high-resolution projection of cylindrical panoramas using multiple synchronized projectors is demonstrated
