摘要:With the development of the technique of multiple dimension GIS databases, the problem of the key-scale becomes an important technical problem. The paper presents a new method about how to determine the key-scale based on the theory of the information attenuation. From the large-scale to the small-scale, the self-similarity of map object descends gradually, and reflects as the change of the map information. Make use of the extend fractal model of inverse "S" can help to determine the key-scale between any two scales section. This method is better pertinent and self-adaptability and significativly to do further research
