摘要：LandcoverclassificationoverYellowRiverbasin,China,bymeansofsimpledecisiontreeclassificationmethodusingmulti-temporalmetricsderivedfromMODISdataisshowninthispaper.Sincethelandcoverisoneoftheinputparametersforthehydrologicalmodel,thecriticalfeatureofclassificationmethodistocontroltheclassificationresultusingthresholdvalues.Thetentativeresultshowsgoodcorrelationswithexistingdigitallandusemap,thoughthesmalloverestimationorunderestimationarerecognizedinseveralcategoriesandtheimprovementisnecessaryindiscriminatingthesinglecroppedagriculturalfieldfromnaturalgrassland.Theadjustmentsofthethresholdvaluesestablishedinthedecisiontreewouldbedone by the aid of higher resolution satellite data
