摘要：Periodic survey of open cast quarries to control the amount of excavated material is necessary for the taxman as well as for planning purposes. This paper reports on the experimental results of automatic DEM generation from aerial images in a marble quarry in Northern Italy. Images of two different flights, 2 years apart, were processed on different DPWs by different processing techniques: image correlation in single models as well as multi-image correlation. The results show a rather poor performance of digital photogrammetry in such a difficult environment, with large dispersions and systematic differences among the DEMs as well as with respect to reference data
