The "Japan Vegetation Data Base" consists of thefollowing data files.1) Releve Data FileIn this file, all description matters on the vegetation investigation sheets are included.2) Grid-Cell Code Data FileThis file con.tains names of topographical maps of 1/50, 000, the position on each map(upper or lower, rIght or left), and the second grid-cell codes.3) Natural Environment Data FileThis file contains data on mean annual temperature, mean monthly temperature of thewarmest ~onth, mean monthly temperature of the coldest month, Kira's warmth index Kira'sco I.d n e s SIn d ex, ann u alp r e ci pit at ion, sum mer pre c i p it a ti 0 n , win t e r pre ci p it a t ion, ; It it u de,relIef, landform, surface geoiogy, and soils.The following analyses are possible under this data base system.1) Gathering of releves in which plant species of interest occur.2) Mapping of plant species distribution and vegetation distribution.3) An a 1 y sis 0 fen vir 0 n men tal fa c tor s w h i c h a f f e c t p I ant dis t ri b u ti 0 n
