摘要：A project of technical cooperation between Argentinaand Germany investigates the severe desertificationprocess in Patagonia. In order to establish a botheffective and economical monitoring procedure, dataprocessing is concentrated in five different places,based on LANDSAT imagery and GIS techniques.To cover the large area of approx. 800 000 sqkmcompletely, four transects from the ANDES to theAtlantic had been defined and checked in detail withinterpolation using NOAA imagery
