摘要：Credential of the technology is missing in the recent system. So, to improve the authentication of thedistributed networks or multiple applications we are making use of a single sign on mechanism. Previously, userswere using n number of usernames and passwords to access different applications on network. This would lead tohigher expense for the administrator as each and every account of the organization will be handled with theirparticular username and password. But, now user needs to remember just single secure credential to access themultiple service providers in a distributed network by using single sign-on mechanism. However, most existingsystems which are using this mechanism have some disadvantage regarding security requirements. So through thispaper we will discuss about the development of security from earlier stage to present stage. And also discuss aboutthe structure of the mechanism’s working strategy.
