摘要:In this article a compact broadband and high gain microstrip patch antenna is designed for witrlesscommunication.This paper deal a new printed antenna for wireless and local area(WLAN) access points (base stations)providing wideband operation from 2.2 GHz to 6.7 GHz.The designed antenna is consists rectangular ground plane withslot incorporated in the ground plane. The antenna is simulated using Ansoft designer software. The dielectric constant,thickness and loss tangent of the proposed antenna are 2.4, 1.6 mm and 0.0016 respectively.The simulated bandwidth hasbeen obtained from 2.2 GHz to 6.7 GHz with percentage bendwidth of 101%.The design antenna may be applicable forwide band applications in wireless communication.
