摘要:This paper implements the torque improvement of three phase induction motor at constant speed forvariable load operation. The speed of the induction motor is maintained constant for varying load operation usingArtificial Bee Colony (ABC) optimization algorithm. Speed performance is improved when using ABC optimizationtechnique instead of conventional PI controller. The torque output of ABC optimization is better comparing to thetorque output of the conventional PI controller. The reference speed and actual speed is compared and that error signalis used for generating the reference torque. The ABC optimization Algorithm is implemented for finding the fitnessvalue of reference torque. With PI controller the time to reach the set speed is more. In proposed system, ABCoptimization algorithm was implemented for generating the reference torque. The time to reach the reference speed isimproved by using ABC optimization algorithm. The speed performance and torque is improved by ABC optimizationalgorithm. The proposed method is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK version 2010b.
