  • 摘要:L-asparaginase is one of the known drugs in the treatment of cancer especially acutelymphoblatic leukemia. In this study, the production of high levels of L-asparaginase was obtained fromAspergillus wentiiin solid state fermentation using agro industrial wastes like coconut oil, palm oil, white andblack sesame oil cakes. Palm oil cake showed maximum enzyme production with Aspergillus wentii when usedas the substrate source in solid state fermentation (SSF). A 48 h fermentation time under aerobic conditions withmoisture content of 89.51% and inoculum volume 30% V/W in SSF appeared optimal for enzyme production.The optimum temperature and pH for enzyme activity were 34oC and 5.8 respectively.
