摘要：Geomicrobiology is an important branch of earth sciences, for that the present study characterizes theculturable bacteria from metal based industrial soil. The characterized bacteria were also screened for iron andmanganese resistant ability upto 6000 ppm of iron and manganese. In that most of metal resistant isolated strains wereclosely related to other cultured bacteria, both iron and manganese resistant Bacillus methylotrophicus KM001063isolate (SS3) affiliated to members of Firmicutes, which was conformed by 16SrDNA gene sequence analysis, it had94% to the nearest match present in GenBank database.
