摘要:This paper describes the variousmathematical models of both squirrel cage and woundrotor induction motors in different reference frames withdifferent state-space variables. The work suggests the d-qaxis unified approach for both types of induction motorsby using the state-space analysis and it is a strong tool inthe modeling of the symmetrical induction motors. Whenan electrical motor is represented as a mathematical modelwith inputs and outputs, it can be analyzed and describedin many ways, considering different reference frames andstate-space variables. The applications of each model arealso discussed. Models are simulated withMATLAB/SIMULINK software for transient response ofthe squirrel cage induction motor in terms ofelectromagnetic torque and rotor angular velocity andresults are discussed.
